Thank you so much for this wonderful article. I hope swan and cormorant continue to guide you deeper into mystery. And your collection of white and black leaves is so beautiful.
I love this reflection Jez. I have also seen swans and a single cormorant on a recent trip - though I hadn't made any connection to soul and spirit, which I find to be so interesting in your post. Your incomplete conclusion feels just right to me. I have found my experience of soul and spirit to be entangled and incomplete, work in progress, and perhaps that's both the joy and frustration. The season's continue to turn. Thank you as always for your thoughts, soul and spirit work and creativity. They call to the deep parts of me that are still trying to get out! Blessings, David.
Thank you for your kind words David. I'm feeling rather overwhelmed by the intensity of soul-calling this morning, and the limitations of this fatigued body. I feel both seen and honoured by your generosity here. Deep appreciation my friend ππΌπ
I struggled with the initial description of soul and spirit as linear.. ascending, descending β¦.black, white β¦ seperateβ¦ so when you moved to the circle , my heart sang and I just wanted to poke my fingers in and give the leaves a little stir to gently combine them, to blend and break the edges between the black and white and the circle and the beyond. Thanks π
Thanks Maggie. It's always both/and... I just often have to take the long way round to get there! Still processing it all. Meanwhile, the strong winds have blown the leaves all over the place. And the bright new leaf buds have appeared on the poplar saplings :)
