Truly, all of this! 🫶🏼 Such a beautiful and heartfelt piece Jez. Thank you for sharing ‘your’ trees with us, because I miss them so much! Its a thing I truly regret, not living close to a tree to hug 🥲 I’m happy there’s one from the neighbours reaching my window view, mostly because, what they call overhere, a ‘parasitic’ other tree started to grow on top of it, that reaches higher, and now I can watch the birds sitting in that odd ‘extra’ tree. I believe it’s a little cosmic wink, you need a tree here’s one ‘out of place’ but perfectly imperfect for you to enjoy 🥰

Thank you for this Eva. I'm so delighted that you appreciate my introduction to these friends at this deep level. And I'm so pleased you have a tree to watch from your window (here's to cosmic winks and parasitism, without which none of us would exist 🍻). But I'm so sorry to hear you don't have a tree within hugging distance. I'm in the same boat on low energy days - I can barely see a tree from my flat. So next time I'm in a woodland space I'm gonna give a friend the *longest* hug, from you, and pass all that mossy, woody, leafy, rooted energy back your way 🌳💚✨✨✨

Jez, I loved meeting your Anam Cara Trees. 💚 Each one, strong and beautiful. ✨Your thoughts about the wounded Oak brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for sharing these heartfull moments with us. I feel deeply connected to an old Maple who I’ve known since I was a child. I’ll send you a link to a story about it . . .

This was a lovely listen, thank you. By wonderful serendipity, my favourite tree happens to be seen from the sofa where I spend so much of my time. It is a grand old hornbeam and is such a pleasing shape. It has listened without judgement on many occasions when I pour out my ME-induced grief to it. Certainly is one of my best friends

That's heartening to hear Becca, thank you for sharing. Trees are surely some of the least judgemental amongst us, and are able to hold so much. I'm so pleased for you friendship 🌳💚

Love everything about this weeks post, Jez, not least because of my own relationship with a wounded tree and because I’m a grateful recipient of Wonderland! I love that little ditty too, I’ll be singing that on my next wander across the Fens :)
