Ooo that writing life quote is food for thought.

The overall tone of the poem is very optimistic as a vibe to me, if your bothering to follow crumbs, if you bothering to conjure metaphors or a metaphor in a metaphor, then you are very much alive and creating and creating, according to the ANS retraining programs*, is "rewiring" your neurology because you are leading with curiosity.... So metaphorically you are creating a new neuro pathway in the forest that you are lost in 😂 so many layers of alive.

(*they do get repeated as fact but in fact they aren't fact fact.)

Ironically I now think I may be more lost than before, but now I've got a knot in my neurons too 😂

Hey Jez. This one resonates with me. I guess I feel like I'm navigating the upside down world of middle age. I'm so glad you shared it. It really does offer much to ponder further. Encouraging a journey of my own. I think about my late grandfather always offering me a mint humbug on our walks. Funny what comes to you. Anyway, thank you for your gift.

Thanks for reading David. It really is funny what comes to mind, and it's often more meaningful than we think. All the best in navigating your topsy turvy phase and all that you journey through 🙏🏼💚

Thanks Eva.

Personally I'm grateful that we get to be the soup AND an ingredient in the soup.

But yes, it definitely feels like a season for letting go, surrender, opening up, softening and all the other identity-mushing practices 🙏🏼💔✨🍜🫚

Loved this whole storytelling poem Jez! It’s been a very interesting confusing and simultaneously fascinating ‘time’ happening right now, and your writing captures it so well! It contains a deep letting go of all identities, and an even deeper trust in the unknown. Love love love it! RABBIT HOLDS (he says holds instead of holes… ain’t that interesting!).

Your intro also… no longer holding on to things, abundantly sharing without keeping things close to our chest anymore 💛 I even stopped adding my name on pictures/memes. So now no one even knows anymore if it’s my art/picture/words sometimes. Does it matter? It doesn’t… it’s all one big soup bowl, and we’re all swimming in it… (ask Jen 😂).
